Let’s Go To Video

I’ll confess, what I know about machine embroidery I’ve learned from working here at EnMart and Ensign Emblem. Although I’ve watched machines run, I’ve never tried to set one up or make it run myself. I can’t imagine how challenging machine embroidery must seem to someone who is starting out. I know it seems challenging to me, and I’m surrounded by machine embroidery experts.

If you’re just starting out in machine embroidery, the best help you can have is access to a pool of experts. If that’s not available, you might try viewing some of the many videos on the subject of machine embroidery. I’ve done a bit of research and, once I started looking, I was surprised to see how many videos were available.

One great source of videos about machine embroidery is YouTube. The price on these videos is certainly right, since they are offered for free. You can find videos on digitizing, designing and running your machine on You Tube, as well as videos from many of the major manufacturers. If you’re investigating embroidery machines with a view toward buying one, You Tube can also be of help a many of the major manufacturers post their demonstration videos.

If you are thinking of buying a new machine, demonstration videos can be a great help in making your decision. Many major embroidery machine manufacturers offer demonstration videos to help potential customers in their decision making process. Melco offers videos about their Amaya XT. The Brother Innov-is 4000D is on YouTube. If you are searching for information about a particular machine, a great way to start may be to search for videos about that machine. You may be surprised what you find.

Finally, there are a lot of videos out there about the machine embroidery process. Just Google “machine embroidery videos” and you’ll come up with 561,000 results. There are videos on digitizing and videos on machine maintenance and videos for specific machine embroidery software. These videos can make a great refresher course for those who already run their own machine embroidery business. They can also be a valuable resource for those who are just starting out.

EnMart is considering adding videos to our product offerings at some future date. Obviously, there are a lot of videos already out there, so we’d love to have some input on what topics have yet to be covered or need additional coverage. If you have any suggestions for us, please leave a note in the comments.
