EnMart in the News

Recently news about EnMart has been popping up in major machine embroidery magazines and online.   I thought today would be a good day to share some of these EnMart sightings with all of you.

Impressions Magazine had a great round-up of the latest thread innovations from major thread manufacturers.  I’m proud to say EnMart was included in this article.  One item the article noted was the sheen of our polyester thread.  In side by side comparisons, many machine embroidery thread users are unable to tell the Iris polyester thread from the Iris rayon thread.  If you’ve been using rayon thread because of the deeper sheen,  you may want to try our Iris polyester thread.   Our polyester thread is now conveniently bundled in thread palettes, making it less expensive to test out some new colors.

Our new Reno shipping facility has also been getting some press.  Stitches mentioned the opening of the facility on April 24.  Impressions covered the Reno facility on April 28.   We are confident the Reno facility will be very convenient for our West Coast customers, so it is nice that the word about the facility is getting out.

One of the things that makes me most proud is seeing our commitment to education, value and service in print.  Impressions Magazine helped publicize that commitment on March 28.   Stitches helped us express our core values on March 20.    Obviously, our main goal is to sell product, if we can’t do that we won’t be in business long.  Where our commitment comes into play is in the products we sell and how we choose to work with and for our customers.  EnMart is committed to offering you the best products we can, and we’re committed to helping you use those products in as productive and profitable a manner as possible.  Like the magazines mentioned in this post, we want to be another resource, not just for supplies, but for information and assistance.

Thread Palettes Now Available

Last week I mentioned that EnMart would be introducing thread palettes to our inventory.  Today I am proud to announce that EnMart Thread Palettes are now available from our store.

EnMart Thread Palettes are groupings of harmonizing colors.  The palettes enable you to purchase groups of thread for less than you would spend if you were to purchase each cone of thread individually.  Because the thread palettes are collected into harmonizing color groups, you may also be able to purchase all the thread you need for a particular design in one thread palette, rather than buying several separate cones.

Currently there are four categories of thread palettes:

Holiday Thread Palettes - These palettes contain colors that are significant to major American holidays.  If you do a lot of Christmas or Fourth of July embroidering, the thread palette for that holiday could save you a significant amount of money.

Shades of Color Palettes -  The shades of color palettes contain threads that are all variations on the same basic color family.

Nature Thread Palettes - If you embroider a lot of scenery, this may be the color palette family for you.   Here you can find sunrise and sunset palettes,  seasonal palettes and palettes made up of other colors commonly found in nature.

Miscellaneous Palettes -  This is our catchall category.  Our Nautical and Baby Gift thread palettes reside here.  This category is also where you’ll find the vibrant and pastel thread palettes.

We are confident that Iris thread is the highest quality thread available in the marketplace today.  EnMart Thread Palettes allow you to purchase this superior quality thread at a significant savings.

How Do You Choose Your “Top” Colors?

Around here the subject of our “top” thread colors is one that can generate a lot of debate.  There are some who maintain that it is possible to have a list of the most popular colors that is relatively unchanging.  There are others, myself included, who maintain that the best selling and most popular color list will change by season,  by holiday, or even just on a whim of the fashion world.

Obviously, having a list of colors we think will be the most popular is helpful.  It allows us to stock more inventory of colors we think will be more popular.  It allows us to create kits like our Best 24 and Best 50 Kits.  Making an educated guess about what colors will appeal to our customers allows us to put those colors together in thread palettes, passing the savings of buying in bulk along to our customer base.  Our goal is to have all the colors our customers want and need available at all times, and to make sure that our most popular colors, regardless of how that popularity may change, are always in stock.

Sadly, we don’t have a crystal ball or even a Magic 8 ball which will tell us which colors will be the popular colors in the future.  So, in lieu of having a psychic friends hot-line for color popularity, I thought I would ask those of you who read this blog how you determine what your “top” or most popular colors are.   Is it based on the colors your customers order.  Do you follow the Pantone Fashion Color Report?  Are there certain basic colors, aside from black and white, that you always have in stock?   Do your most popular color choices vary by season or by year, or do the same five or six colors perpetually stay on the list?

We know, as I’m sure all of you do, that there is no exact science when it comes to determining the popularity of a particular thread color.   Our goal is simply to offer you the colors that will meet your needs.  One way for us to do that is to gather feedback from you about what colors are tops on your popularity chart.

Thread Palettes

In the next few weeks EnMart will be introducing thread palettes to our Iris thread inventory.   EnMart Thread Palettes are collections of thread which harmonize together.  Some thread palettes will be organized around colors which are significant for a particular holiday or life event.  Other thread palettes will simply be comprised of colors that we think work well together.

EnMart Thread Palettes are designed to take the work out of finding harmonizing colors.  If you do a lot of holiday embroidery, our holiday palettes will help you find the colors you need quickly and easily.  Our thread palettes will also be priced to save you money.  EnMart Thread Palettes will offer multiple threads more inxpensively than if you bought each thread in a palette individually.

The Thread Palettes should be available within the next few weeks.  As soon as they are listed in the EnMart store, we will make sure our customers are notified.
